Beach Week

Since 1988 the Gallagher clan has been going to Holden Beach, NC. It's a quiet, little island about an hour south of Wilmington (where I was born). This was Jackson's first trip to the beach and boy did he love it! He wasn't too sure about the sand at first, but he grew to love it (read: get it everywhere!). He also loved meeting his Uncle Eli for the first time. Here are a few pics from our fun FUN FUN trip!

Jackson's first flight. He did REALLY well. Such a trooper. He just curled up on me and slept the whole way. We could not have asked for a better baby traveler.

"OK, guys. I'm ready for the beach!"

"This sand feels funny."

Hooray! A photo with all three of us! Taken at Betty's in Supply, NC. Home of the World's Best Hushpuppies. I don't think that's their official title, but it should be.

After having lunch with Uncle Eli at Jackson's Big Oak BBQ in Wilmington. I've been going here since I was a kid. This place, hands down, has the best Carolina barbeque in the world! And, for all you KC folks, Oklahoma Joe's is the only place in town that sells Carolina barbeque.... and it's pretty close.

This was our last day. We stopped in Southport, NC to eat at a little thai restaurant I went to as a kid. I thought it might be fun to take the ferry from Southport to Wilminton, but alas, we missed the ferry. Oh well, there's always next time.

There are lots more pics, but these are just the highlights. We had a fantastic time and can't wait until the next big trip!
